If the engine coolant temp sensor is bad it could give a false signal to the PCM, making it think the engine is hot and causing the message. Since you aren't overheating I don't see any reason not to drive the truck until you get home and can visit the dealer. Web22 Jun 2024 · Replace the cooling fan temp sensor.
