The arch foundations are 25 feet deep (7.6m). Every sixth pier is 50% thicker as insurance against any single arch collapsing. The viaduct is 400 meters long, 32 meters high and has 24 arches, each spanning 14 meters. It is made of 1.5 million bricks and over 100,000 cubic meters of stone.
