Open-ended learning
WebHere, I argue that only one algorithm is known to lead to the kind of open-endedness necessary for generalised intelligence — natural selection. To ask whether machine learning is open-ended, I therefore compare the logic of natural selection and machine learning to develop insights that could help to hone future investigations.
