WebThe AKG K371 (runs about $140, though you may find great sales) is a closed back, mobile friendly design geared towards DJs - but is also very decent for gaming. AKG gives you removable cables, and 3 separate cables no less for different uses, terminating at 3.5mm trrs, and a 1/4in adapter if you're using an amp. WebWired ones I can recommend Sennhiser PC38x (best cheaper gaming headset), the beyerdynamic DT series (DT 770, DT 990) and Sennhiser HD600. But the last 2 I mentioned don't have mic, so you will have to use modmic or a desktop mic. For these you should use a external DAC and amplifier or combo like the Schitt Fulla/Hel, Ifi Zen dac , JDS labs ect.

WebIt uses soundstage as a reason to exclude closed-back headphones from the list when there are a few good closed-backs like the Creative Aurvana Live and the AKG K371 that are just as "good for gaming" as anything else on the list. Hell, they beat the SHP9500 by a long shot. Plus, a lot of people don't want game audio bleeding into the mic.. WebI've noticed recently that the momentum 4s can now be purchased along with a Bluetooth Audio transmitter. I don't know much about what these do.
