I can't think of any perks to not blessing the pool, plus you need it blessed for the Burning Pig quest so I chose to bless it. Alright thanks. I suppose its just a way to screw up that quest then.

Then I ran into Feder on the ridge above the Dragon's Beach and sent her to Amadia's Sanctuary.
