WebJul 9, 2024 · Boat Works Today did a few tutorials on Alexseal paint, it seems too good to be true! I have planed to spray the hull sides and topside with Awlgrip due to its renown durability, but rolling over spraying is a game changer. Not commenting on the methodologies being suggested but you should be aware that Awlgrip oyster white and Alexseal oyster white are not the same color. The Awlgrip ow is a perfect match to Bertram gelcoat. I tried Alexseal ow and quickly discovered it was a creamier white than the Awlgrip.

But once ANY paint's surface is breached, microscopic pores are opened up in the skin that can and will trap dirt and other contaminants and it must be sealed with a wax.

WebMar 4, 2024 · Alexseal is pretty much idiot proof: p220 your primer and roll on a decent coat of the topcoat with 30% brushing solvent. p320 this and go again with another topcoat. Lastly and optionally P400 or scotchbrite and then a clearcoat.
